Frequently asked questions

Answers, up front.

Everything you need to know about visits, memberships, prescriptions and billing.

Getting started

Who can be seen at Mayor Health MD?

Adults 18 and older who are physically located in Florida or Mississippi at the time of each visit. All care is provided by Mark Mayoral, MD, licensed in Florida (ME176710) and Mississippi (37596).

How do visits work?

Every visit is a secure, HIPAA-compliant video visit — no waiting room and no office trip. Before your first visit you complete intake forms and consents online.

Which visit should I book?

New patients usually start with a New Patient Consultation or the visit for their specific goal, such as Weight Loss, Hormone Replacement, Peptides or ADHD Evaluation. See every option on our Book Now page, or contact us and we will help you choose.

Do you take insurance?

No. Mayor Health MD is a direct-pay practice and does not bill insurance, Medicare or Medicaid. We can give you documentation to submit to your own health plan or HSA/FSA administrator.

How much does a visit cost?

A New Patient Consultation is $200 and an Existing Patient Consultation is $125. All standard fees are listed on our Good Faith Estimate page.

Memberships

What is the difference between Gold and Platinum?

Gold ($100/month or $1,000/year) includes one telehealth visit a month, priority scheduling, secure messaging with Dr. Mayoral, and 30% off eligible medications dispensed through Empower Pharmacy. Platinum ($500/month or $4,700/year) includes everything in Gold plus up to five visits a month, phone access to Dr. Mayoral, a core protocol of medications or supplements when clinically indicated, and 50% off eligible medications outside that protocol. Full details are on the Gold and Platinum pages.

Do unused visits roll over?

No. Included visits reset each calendar month. Visits beyond your plan are billed at 30% off the standard fee for Gold members and 50% off for Platinum members.

How do I get into the member portal?

Gold and Platinum members share one member portal. Your access is set up when you join; after that, sign in at portal.mayorhealthmd.com with your email and password plus the 6-digit code we send you.

How do I cancel my membership?

Email mark@mayorhealthmd.com at least 30 days before you want it to end. Monthly members are not billed again after the end date; annual members receive a prorated refund of unused months. See the Membership Agreement.

Prescriptions & treatment

Will I get a prescription?

Not necessarily. A visit or membership pays for the physician’s time and clinical judgment, never for a prescription. Medications are prescribed only when clinically appropriate after an individual evaluation.

Can you prescribe controlled substances?

Only when clinically appropriate and legally permitted, after a review of the state prescription monitoring database (PDMP) and a signed Controlled Substance Patient Agreement. Each controlled medication requires its own active membership, which covers the required follow-up and monitoring.

Do you do ADHD testing?

We provide ADHD evaluations, not psychological testing. The evaluation leads to a treatment recommendation that may or may not include medication. Learn more.

Which pharmacy will fill my prescription?

The pharmacy of your choice. Member discounts apply to eligible medications dispensed through Empower Pharmacy, our partner pharmacy. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved.

Do I need lab work?

Sometimes, depending on your treatment. Labs are ordered through our lab partner and billed separately by the lab.

Scheduling & billing

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Yes, at no charge with at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations and no-shows forfeit the visit fee, and arriving more than 10 minutes late may mean a shortened or rescheduled visit.

How do refunds work?

Email mark@mayorhealthmd.com within 7 days of the charge. Completed visits, dispensed medications and unused monthly benefits are not refundable. Full terms are in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

What if I have an emergency?

Mayor Health MD does not provide emergency care. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988.
